چکیده
The present work proposes a novel class of multifield nested tunable metadevices that serve as high performance acoustic metafilters. designed metafilter is characterized by multiscale, hierarchical structure. At the mesoscale, metamaterial consists sequence two different periodically alternating layers: polymeric homogeneous layer, which exhibits viscoelastic constitutive response, and microstructured one. latter based on periodic repetition multiphase microscale cell composed stiff elastic external coating, phase an internal disk piezoelectric material shunted electrical circuit having impedance/admittance This tuning parameter affects properties and, in turn, overall response cell, thereby ultimately enabling to achieve optimal filtering for metadevice. Due periodicity at microscale, two-scale variational-asymptotic homogenization technique exploited frequency domain order obtain frequency-dependent layer. Subsequently, in-plane free wave propagation inside multilayered mesoscale investigated means Floquet–Bloch theory, together with transfer matrix method. By triggering shunting effect, stiffening can be achieved, demonstrated open low band gaps spectrum. capability metadevice has been assessed function its geometrical features parameter, thus paving way towards design sophisticated topologically optimized filters.

A frequency-wavenumber-domain formulation is presented in this paper for calculation of the Green's functions and wave propagation modes in a stratified fluid body underlain by a layered viscoelastic soil medium. The Green's functions define the solid and fluid displacements and fluid pressures due to uniform disk loads acting in either the soil or fluid media. The solution is in the frequency ...

The present investigation is concerned with the reflection of plane waves from a free surface of a micropolar thermoelastic diffusion half space in the context of coupled theory of thermoelastic diffusion. The amplitude ratios of various reflected waves are obtained in a closed form. The dependence of these amplitude ratios with an angle of propagation as well as other material parameter are sh...

Recent research activities in elastic metamaterials demonstrate a significant potential for subwavelength wave propagation control owing to their interior locally resonant mechanism. The growing technological developments in electro/magnetomechanical couplings of smart materials have introduced a controlling degree of freedom for passive elastic metamaterials. Active elastic metamaterials could...
